My name is Maria Barbalat. I am a qualified Romanian translator, native speaker of Romanian and Russian, living in the UK. I am certified by the Romanian Ministry of Culture and authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Justice in the following language pairs: English <> Romanian, French <> Romanian and Russian <> Romanian.

My translations are also recognised by the Romanian Embassy to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I am a freelance translator since 2006. While between 2006 and 2011 this was a part-time activity, in 2011 I became a full-time independent translator.
