With std open G tuning and a typical two string bender ( one that only acts on adjacent string) you can only get access to the 4 chord and relative minor by acting on strings 1 & 2, or 5&6. Some players find this cumbersome. With the Skip a string setup you can act on strings 2 and 4, which makes for a bit more natural of a setup for many players. This shorty version offers the same features and capabilities as the full size unit in a more compact package. With an over all length of just 2 inches, a full 1.25″ shorter than the original, this will fit many instruments where real-estate behind the bridge is tight.I’ve been producing my own pitch benders for the lap steels I make for several years now, all the while refining my design. During that period I’ve been asked so many times if I sell just the bender that I figured it was high time I obliged, and I am proud to finally be able to offer these to the public.
