USPS Priority Mail: Over the past several months, USPS Priority Service times have been somewhat erratic. While most shipments still meet the target delivery time estimate of 2-3 days, a small percentage have been taking up to 2 weeks for delivery. We do offer Fedex 2-Day Express service to most locations for $2 additional per plant. At our discretion, we will ship via Fedex rather than USPS. An intermediate to warm growing species from New Guinea. Spring/summer bloomer. Foul smelling red to yellow flowers. A number of awarded cultivars have come out of this cross, including a recent FCC/AOS. All plant photos show the exact plant being offered and were taken at the start of the listing on 6/08. The flower photo is representative of this species. Plants grown from seed may show some variation in flower color, size and quality. Shipping:Shipping is restricted to the Continental US only. We do not ship to APO addresses or Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. No international shipments, no exceptions. Most shipments are sent via USPS Priority Mail. However, at our discretion, larger shipments (over 3 pounds) to the Eastern U.S. may be sent via Fedex 2-Day service. If you have any issues with receiving Fedex 2-Day shipments, please notify us at or before the time of payment. Depending on when payment is received, we typically ship on Monday, Tuesday or (sometimes) Saturday to avoid having shipments getting stuckon a truck or in a warehouse over the weekend. If you would like your purchase shipped on a different day, please let us know, but plants shipped on Wednesday– Friday have a greater risk of getting stuck on a truck or in a warehouse over the weekend. Once your shipment leaves our control, we cannot be responsible for delivery delays, loss or damage. We do our best to protect plants and flowers but cannot guarantee spikes or flowers. Unless requested, we DO NOT use heat packs in the winter, so make sure to provide a shipping address where someone will be there to receive plants immediately. If you prefer us to ship with a heat pack, they are available for purchase separately. The total combined heat pack cost of $5.50 ($2.50 + $3.00shipping charge) is to cover the cost of the heat pack as well as the additional weight related shipping costs. If you would like us to delay shipping plants for a few days (due to availability or anticipated weather conditions), please let us know prior to payment. Shipping Discounts: Discounts are given on all multi-plant shipments, provided they are all purchased in a single payment.
